On 1998 Will Smith and Gene Hackman starred a film where a lawyer -Robert Dean- gets possession of incriminatory evidence that would put a high level politician into troubles because he had proof of illegal acts committed by the politicians and his team.
Being the bad guy part the NSA, he starts an operation where Dean is the Target, some parts of such operation where:
-Spy the target.
-Cancel his credit cards, and bank accounts.
-Incriminate the target with some fake, but elaborated accusations, in order to make him lose his credibility.
-Capture him.
That story is happening now in 2010, but in Reality:
-A Journalist -Julian Assange- gets in possession of documents that may serve as proof to incriminate some politicians. The USA government has “probably” organized an operation against him:
-He’s team reported being under spy surveillance.
-The bank accounts and donation system for wikileaks have been cancelled.
-He’s being incriminated.
-He’s captured.
In the movie, Dean had a tape and some guys from a gang, that served as an insurance for him, and in the end he won.
In the Reality, Assange has published an encrypted file called INSURANCE that he’s expected to let him win. And there is a group of hackers that are protesting in his favour.
My questions:
Are the journalist going to unite and back him up?
Is reality exceeding fiction?
What can be in the INSURANCE file?
