Job Title : Application Engineer - Seating

Job Purpose
- The Application Engineer will provide expert technical support helping customers successfully integrate CVG product into their vehicles. This position has a great impact on the overall success of the company. The candidate will be responsible for suspension seating and electrical harness product fitted to commercial vehicles in both on and off highway applications.
Job Duties
- Collect voice of customer and critical customer requirements to translate into functional specifications
- Work with design teams to provide customer feedback on new products and features
- Suggest new technology and provide different design approaches that make for top-selling products
- Support project managers through NPI process
- Support operations team with continuous product improvement and product issue resolution
- Technical lead for product margin enhancement activity through component localization and value engineering
- Travel on-site to support customer issues
- Resolve any issues and solve problems throughout the project life cycle
- Develop tools and best practices for Applications Engineering
Skills/Qualifications
- BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Highly motivated individual with excellent interpersonal and communications skills
- Work independently as well as in a team environment, and able to manage and lead across cross-functional teams
- Strong technical background in the automotive or commercial vehicle industry
- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role
- Experience with defining and delivering a new product to market
- Must be a team player and believe in the value of inclusion and collaboration
- Must be comfortable with the high growth/small company dynamic of rolling up your sleeves and doing whatever it takes to get the job done given the constraints of time, budget and human resources
- Extremely resourceful, highly creative and high energy, able to brainstorm and implement new ideas
- Ability to persuade and positively influence at all levels of the organization
